Explore an Old West of sorts at Whiskey Pete’s in Primm, a small community on the Nevada/California border. It sits approximately 40 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip.
Named for a rumored bootlegger, Ernest Jay Primm opened the resort in 1977. Although Whiskey Pete’s has grown and changed over the years, guests will still encounter a wonderfully whimsical atmosphere, complete with wall dressings that replicate an early mining town and stained glass depictions of prospectors.
Near the entrance are two fascinating cars on display: Bonnie & Clyde’s "Death Car," the vehicle in which the infamous robbers were killed in, and notorious gangster Dutch Schultz’s 1931 Lincoln. It costs nothing to check them out. |
